The pay range is $54,800.00 - $98,600.00

Manager/Lead Shelf Strip Program

The Shelf Strip Label Manager’s team has a broad range of responsibilities including file processing, execution, production and quality assurance.

As a Shelf Strip Team Leader, you will oversee the production and execution of the Shelf Strip Label Program. You will coordinate materials and resources required to execute this project and build and document processes to coincide. You will ensure maximum productivity of all team members, equipment, and processes in the area through adherence to established policies and procedures. Provide a strong focus on team member development by providing training opportunities and effective coaching and counseling and appropriately document. Takes appropriate partners and considers all pertinent information including team member input and feedback to drive improvements in the department. Makes team morale a top priority through actions and words. Assigns work areas to your team members. Authorizes each step of the production process and inspects and signs off the project as ready to ship. Ensures that all Shelf Strips are produced with a high level of quality and accuracy and takes appropriate action to investigate, address and correct quality issues. Drives product and packaging quality and ensures conformance to standards and specific customer requirements. Leads initiatives to drive continuous improvement of quality and performance in the department. Deals effectively with poor performers by providing training, coaching, counseling and corrective action as appropriate. Coordinates the procurement of temporary employees, provides them with a quick orientation and leads them to the assigned work area. Write performance reviews in accordance with Target policies and effectively communicates accomplishments and development needs. Maintains real-time records of attendance and tardiness and effectively manages the vacation schedule to insure production capabilities are aligned with schedule needs. Leads the development and implementation of good preventative maintenance programs. Leads the team in maintaining good organization and housekeeping throughout the production area to streamline workflow and create a safe work environment. Works with the Sr Manager to develop the strategic direction of the area. Analyzes, develops, implements, and enforces procedures to accomplish all duties in an efficient and cost effective manner. Share daily goals during a kickoff meeting with team and report production to leadership team in an end of shift report.

Schedule: Monday - Wednesday 6am - 6pm with ever other Thursday from 6am - 6pm.

About you:

  • 4-Year degree in related field and/or 5 years’ experience in print environment

  • Working knowledge of print production management

  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment

  • Refined communication and Team Member relationships skills

  • Must have excellent follow-up and problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills including conflict resolution.

  • Must be courageous with an enthusiastic attitude of doing what it takes to get the job done.

  • Must be very action and results-oriented.

  • Must be able to adhere to and teach established quality, safety, and operational procedures/standards and all work guidelines.

  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills.

  • Must be capable of following written and oral instructions.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts
